Today, February 22, is National Margarita Day.

No joke.

I’m not sure why anyone is at work today.

My calendar (old school, paper hanging on the wall) indicates Presidents’ Day with a red “20” in the upper right corner and the words “Presidents’ Day” written right across the bottom of Monday’s box. It couldn’t be clearer.

I also have to thank Tequila. If you go to nationalmargaritaday.com you’ll see that this day, like so many other things in our lives, is “Proudly Powered by Tequila.” And in a heart warming display of team play, no single brand is mentioned. On National Margarita Day, all tequila is equal.

I’m off to celebrate. I wish a Happy Margarita Day to one and all!
